Beth joined Sherwood in 2010 to lead the company's information systems and Web development teams. Beth has extensive experience in planning, executing and controlling IS projects, training end users, directing project teams, leading organizational change, managing risks and administering budgets. She also has many years of experience with iMIS, Sherwood's backend membership management database system.
Beth brings 14 years in IT project management and management consulting, most recently as Web and applications project manager at a Chicago-area executive search firm and senior project manager in the IS Department at association management company SmithBucklin Corporation. She is a strong team builder and critical thinker, and brings a unique understanding of the myriad elements needed for successful project implementation, whether it's a new Web site launch or behind-the-scenes process improvement document.
Beth is a certified Project Management Professional and has additional experience in database system audits, business needs analysis, and statement of work and proposal development. She earned her BA from the University of Michigan and has spent more than 10 years on the board of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan, at the local level in both Chicago and Washington, DC, as well as at the national level.
